Perhaps because I write this a couple of weeks before Christmas and I’m trying to think of what to say in January, I’m having trouble thinking of what to write about this month!   (I just can’t bring myself to write one more "new year’s resolution" type essays!)   I know that I am not alone in my struggle.   In a blog post, Pastor Lillian Daniel makes the observation: "The front page, saved for the pastor, is often wasted on a throw away paragraph, a canned story from the Internet, or a few sentences from a reference book ("The Webster’s dictionary defines "stewardship" as …”)
